At Carbon Bank, we offer a comprehensive end-to-end carbon crediting program, from audits and registry to trading of the carbon credits. We ensure high-quality carbon credits, impacting value and price dynamics.
Our Climate Solutions
We provide two primary solutions for carbon crediting projects: Natural-Based Solutions (NBS) and Technology-Based Solutions (TBS). Both approaches contribute to combating climate change, though they differ in methods, advantages, and challenges.
Natural-Based Solutions (NBS)
NBS focuses on harnessing the power of nature to sequester carbon and restore ecosystems. These projects include afforestation, reforestation, mangrove restoration, and sustainable land management practices.
How NBS Combats Climate Change?
By restoring natural carbon sinks, NBS removes CO2 from the atmosphere, contributing directly to climate mitigation. These projects also foster resilience to climate impacts by preserving vital ecosystems.
Examples of NBS
Organized Plantations
Carbon Bank focuses on sustainable land use, ensuring long-term carbon storage in agricultural systems like Oil Palm, Rubber, Durian, and more, to maximize carbon sequestration and support global climate goals.
Sustainable Forest Plantations
Carbon Bank helps forest plantations balance timber production with carbon storage, turning them into key carbon sinks while still producing renewable resources.
Afforestation, Reforestation & Restoration (ARR)
Carbon Bank's ongoing ARR projects focus on restoring forested areas, enhancing carbon sequestration while protecting biodiversity.
NBS Project Requirements
Minimum Project Area to Register
Minimum requirement is 400 hectares.
(Smaller assets can be grouped based on same species).
Ownership Status
Clear ownership status must be established through a valid grant or agreement, confirming the project's legal rights and obligations.
Flood & Disaster - Free Zone
The project area must be free from flood-prone zones or other disaster risks to ensure viability and success.
Additional Documentations
Such as Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & Social Impact Assessment (SIA) enhance project eligibility.
